curated by Megan Monte in Looking at Me Through You. The work is a direct response to the lack of space and loss of market gardens in a rapidly developing suburbs of Sydney. A strip of land 1m x 10m is cut into the lawn outside of Campbeltown Arts Centre. Using seed stock propagated from fresh produce including lettuce, tomatoes and vegetables purchased from Woolworths, audiences could plant or take anything from this garden. Anything not harvested or taken after the exhibition is dug back into the soil as green manure.
