working with skywriter Robert Vance for ‘Sculpture by the Sea’ (2014), a series of large scale abstract line drawings emerged in the sky. The skywriting performance was filmed with a GoPro, and due to the unauthorised turns required to perform the required aerial manoeuvres, the recording had to be edited to remove these moments. It was the choice of Robert to overlay the clip with the track ‘Take My Breath Away’ by Berlin. However, without a commercial liscence to play this recording, the already edited video clip was again chopped up to remix the soundtrack and recorded video; allowing the work to exist as a unique music clip in its own right.
